Gary Diebel, AIA, has not only led project teams through the entire architectural process, but his work has also left a significant mark on the architectural landscape of the San Francisco Bay Area. From conceptual design through construction for steel, concrete, and wood buildings, his designs have been transformative. As a licensed architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects, he has been recognized as a top architect in the region, a testament to his exceptional expertise and achievements in the field.
Mr. Diebel’s educational background is as impressive as his professional achievements. He studied with scholarships at the renowned Cranbrook Academy of Art, earning a Master of Architecture degree. Cranbrook, with its international reputation for design and architecture, is among the best graduate programs in the country. Diebel was the top architectural graduate at the University of Minnesota, consistently qualifying for the Dean’s List and receiving a Bachelor of Architecture with High Distinction at a college known as a leading architectural school for design excellence. These prestigious institutions have equipped him with the knowledge and skills to excel in his career.
A Design Arts Grantee from the National Endowment for the Arts, a multi-national and local design competition winner, an Ellerbe Prize recipient, and a Progressive Architecture emerging architect, Diebel began his career working with noted architects David Salmela, FAIA, and Edward Kodet, FAIA. Exhibitions in New York, San Francisco, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Honolulu have featured Gary Diebel's architectural designs. The books
